Subject: Bug#17922: ktimemon eats cpu

Package: kicker
Version: 2.0
Severity: normal
Installed from: patriots.net Solaris package
Top shows a kdeinit process consuming 5% or so of machine. Experimentation with the ktimemon \
app caused the kdeinit process to change its usage, so I assume the kdeinit process that top is \
reporting is actually the ktimemon app. I have the interval at 1 second. The default interval \
uses 10% of cpu. The kde desktop is running on a relatively quiet Sun AX/MP (very similar to an \
E-450) with 2 400 Mhz CPUs and 2GB of RAM. The X station is a P100 Linux Box. Since none of \
the X is local, I have no idea what would cause this to consume so many cycles. No other \
desktop app (except occasionally netscape) eats so much of the machine. Any suggestions? \
Thanx, marty
