From kde-bugs-dist Sun Dec 31 21:41:07 2000 From: marty () outputservices ! com Date: Sun, 31 Dec 2000 21:41:07 +0000 To: kde-bugs-dist Subject: Bug#17922: ktimemon eats cpu X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kde-bugs-dist&m=97829940026881 Package: kicker Version: 2.0 Severity: normal Installed from: patriots.net Solaris package Top shows a kdeinit process consuming 5% or so of machine. Experimentation with the ktimemon app caused the kdeinit process to change its usage, so I assume the kdeinit process that top is reporting is actually the ktimemon app. I have the interval at 1 second. The default interval uses 10% of cpu. The kde desktop is running on a relatively quiet Sun AX/MP (very similar to an E-450) with 2 400 Mhz CPUs and 2GB of RAM. The X station is a P100 Linux Box. Since none of the X is local, I have no idea what would cause this to consume so many cycles. No other desktop app (except occasionally netscape) eats so much of the machine. Any suggestions? Thanx, marty (submitted via bugs.kde.org)
