Package: kicker
Version: 2.0
Severity: normal
Installed from: patriots.net Solaris package

Top shows a kdeinit process consuming 5% or so of machine. Experimentation with the \
ktimemon app caused the kdeinit process to change its usage, so I assume the kdeinit \
process that top is reporting is actually the ktimemon app. I have the interval at 1 \
second. The default interval uses 10% of cpu. The kde desktop is running on a \
relatively quiet Sun AX/MP (very similar to an E-450) with 2 400 Mhz CPUs and 2GB of \
RAM. The X station is a P100 Linux Box. Since none of the X is local, I have no \
idea what would cause this to consume so many cycles. No other desktop app (except \
occasionally netscape) eats so much of the machine. Any suggestions? Thanx, marty
