Package: kmenuedit
Version: 0.01 (from KDE 1.92)

This is a borderline wishlist/bug. Mostly it's a UI
problem.

When adding a menu item, one of the text fields to
fill in is "Type". As far as I know, the *only* text
that should be in that field is "Application", which
makes me wonder why it's even there. Here's an example
of the trouble that this field can cause:

I added a "Netscape" entry to the "Internet" subfolder
of my K menu. Since I didn't know what the "Type"
field was, I left it blank. Then I add an entry to the
panel; I right-clicked on the panel and chose Add ->
Application -> Internet -> Netscape. When I clicked on
the Netscape panel button that I created, it just
popped up an error message about the "Type=" field
being empty. It took me a while before I figured out
that I had to type "Application" in the "Type" field
in kmenuedit. Not good.
