Subject: Bug#2901: long menus are no longer fully visible/accessible

I am having a problem with the main menu in KDE: if I edit the menu/submenus
at all with menu editor, as soon as the editing is completed, I am no longer
able to see all of the entries on longer submenus such as the Utilities menu.
All I get is (most of) the first screen of items, I am not offered the button
that allows you to see the next screen of items. Even in menu editor, I am not
able to access to the items that won't fit on the first screen. Scrolling
simply doesn't work. I ultimately had to reinstall KDE and refrain from using
the menu editor.

I saw on your web page that Kevin Lisciotti had reported the exact same
problem, though for him it wasn't a consequence of editing the menus. I
e-mailed him and asked if he ever heard of a solution, but he said he hasn't.
Is there indeed a fix to this rather annoying bug?

I am running SuSE v. 6.3, which runs on Linux v. 2.1.13. Thanks for any help
you can provide.
