Package: kwm & kcontrol
Version: (very sorry)

My X-Server asigns to the WIN-Key the Meta function. ALT is not assigned
to Meta.

 *  I can't assign a function to the WIN key in kcontrol-keyboard-global:
Wheneven I press&release WIN in a KDE-App, the Menu-Bar is activated
(WIN-f for file menu doesn't work). Assigning stuff to the ALT-key instead
(because I need Meta for Emacs) doesn't work: I can put that into kcontrol
and APPLY, but when I start kde next time, it exits immediately until I
manually remove ``keyfunction=ALT'' from the respective file (.kderc I
think)

 *  I put toggle-raise/lower on ALT-LeftMouse. When I ``toggle'' into a
KDE-app this way and then release the ALT-key, the menu get's activated,
which is very annoying!

 *  A wish: Gnome/Enlightenment (uh-oh sorry won't say it again!) has a
fuch more flexible function-to-key-interface: it supports lots of modifyer
keys (not only Shift, Ctrl, Alt) and it distinguishes lots of other keys,
too: LeftAlt/RightAlt, LeftCtrl/RightCtrl etc. AND: Why doesn't KDE offer
Maximise,toggle-raise/lower,lots-of-others as a key function?!?

Remark: I tried KDE 1.1.1 for some while and then also tried GNOME for a
while. Guess which always crashed leaving core-dumps!! (Hint: KDE seems to
have disabled cores!)

Thanx
	Dirk Oliver Theis
