  Package: KDE 1.1.1 RPM Installation (RedHat 5.2)
  Version: 1.1.1

  Error message "KCharset: Wrong charset!"
  This error message is displayed when executing many KDE apps
  from a normal terminal (without X), and in WinX using a terminal   window.
  Apps include kcontrol, knotes, kedit, any many more.
  How do you fix it?, do I need to install special KCharset fonts???


  Here is a transcript:

  [root@localhost /root]# kedit
  KCharset: Wrong charset!


  I am logged in as root. Is this the cause?
  Kernel used: 2.0.37
