Package: kcontrol
Version: KDE 1.1.1
I haven't spotted the pattern to this yet, but the Desktop/Style setting:
Apply fonts & colors to non-KDE apps
frequently fails to work - even though the check box remains ticked. It seems
to fail more often for non-root users. Removing all the .kde & .kderc files,
logging out & back in, then reconfiguring the desktop fixes it - though you
sometimes have to log out & in and play with kcontrol a few times to get the
settings correct.
It also may be related to upgrading desktop settings for users with KDE 1.1
settings.
This was not a problem with KDE 1.1
I have also come across the problems others have reported:
* Random wallpaper setting switching on by itself
* Kpanel buttons appear at random positions on the panel if you move or add any.
Again these are only a problem with 1.1.1
I am using Slackware 3.6
