    Two problems:

        klyx 9.9pre1 seems to require various  *.so.1  level kde
libraries, while the Redhat
rpms of KDE-1.1  seem to install  only   *.so.2  versions of the
libraries.  The required
libs were in the rpms for  KDE-1.0 .

        Even with the  kde  *.so.1 libraries installed, the startup
fails trying to find libg++.so.27.
This is very strange, as the library is installed on my Redhat 5.2
system, and shows up  when
/sbin/ldconfig -p  is run.
