Subject: Bug#1079: kuser preferences not implemented correctly

Package: kuser
Version: KDE-1.1 and latest cvs (KDE_1_1_BRANCH, at least)

kuser has a "Preferences" menu with three checkboxes:

Create home dir
Copy Skeleton to Home Dir
Use private group

If these are all selected, and then "add new user"
is invoked, only the "Use Private group" selection appears as
selected in the corresponding check boxes in the "add user"
screen menu.

The "Use Private group" selection appears to be transmitted from
"preferences" to "add user" screens by a signal-slot mechanism that is
absent/broken for the Create Home dir/Copy skeleton selections.

also:

is the new user /etc/passwd entry and home directory created when "save" is
invoked or when kuser is exited? some popup screen confirming the creation
of the new user account, or explaining when it will actually happen,
would be a good feature.
