I couldn't do without the wallpaper switching any longer, and so implemented a
quick solution.  It doesn't address the ability to have different widgets on
each virtual desktop, as was possible before, but at least allows separate
wallpaper.  It does so by tricking the slideshow background into changing its
image.

Please don't comment on this bug report or bother the Plasma developers about
this - it is unofficial and nothing to do with the Plasma project.
