I don't know how to help with this, but I want to add that I am having these
issues as well.
I am running 2 desktops:
Fedora 20 with 8GB or ram, 3GB of swap.
Fedora 21 with 16GB or ram, 4 GB of swap
On both of these systems I can usually hit the bug within 24 hours of starting
the computer up. plasma-desktop spins out of control and consume all of my RAM
and all of my SWAP on each computer. It brings the whole system to halt. I
have been rebooting to fix it, but it has been coming back too quickly.
I run into this about once a day, so I can help debug, I'm just not sure what
to look at.
On Fedora 20, I'm running kde-workspace-4.11.14-2.fc20.x86_64
I don't have my Fedora 21 box up so I can not get the version I am running
there. It is current.
