Thanks for the bug report. I don't know what the cause of the problem is, but
it might be that Solid (the library which tells us about the devices that are
available on the system) takes too much time to investigate the keyboard. This
assumption is supported by the fact that you see the slowness on startup and
when opening the context menu - these are the situations in which we ask Solid
about the devices.

I do have a few questions though:

(a) It is surprising that only Dolphin is affected. I would expect the same
problems when opening Gwenview, or opening the KDE file dialog in an
application like KWrite. Have you tried that as well?

(b) You said that you used gdb to investigate the problem. Did you manage to
obtain a backtrace while you see the slowness? See
