Okay, very good news: I have found the problem and a fix for it.

The problem is this: qca-ossl uses functions for the MD2 algorithm from
openssl. But Arch's openssl is built without MD2 support since it is very old.
(Try to rebuild qca-ossl from abs - you'll get an error about these functions.)
This means that these functions are not defined and when qca tries to load the
ossl plugin it probably gets an undefined reference. I think this causes the
crash.

So as a fix, you could either convince the Arch devs to compile openssl with
MD2 support or patch the qca-ossl package and remove the function calls. I did
the later by hand and voilà : kdeconnect works like a charm!

As soon as I find time I will create a patch for qca-ossl and post it here so
that someone of you can test it.
