Is there any further information on this at your end?

I tried installing kdelibs 4.9.1 and Qt 4.8.2 on my Linux system and KSudoku
1.1 worked fine with Roxdoku 9x9 and the settings you specified.  I had a look
at http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Roadmap and there is no openSUSE 12.3
Milestone 0 listed there (yet).  openSuSE 12.3 is due out in March 2013.

I can only think that your crash is related to OpenGL, graphics hardware or
64-bit, and I am not an expert in any of those. My Linux is 32-bit but my Apple
is 64-bit, and KSudoku 3D works fine with both of those and with Qt 4.8.2
QGLWidget library class in both cases.
