Setting "ElectricBorderPushbackPixels" to 2 as in comment 27 fixed the issue
for me:

kwriteconfig --file kwinrc --group Windows --key ElectricBorderPushbackPixels 2
qdbus org.kde.kwin /KWin reconfigure

Which is equivalent to adding the option:
ElectricBorderPushbackPixels=2
In the section [Windows]

Now I can use again the switch to left desktop on edje !!
