In responds to #69 from Aaron J. Seigo

I'm glad this bug is fixed finally.

When there is no dev here to read a bug report and tells us what information he
needs to fix the bug, how shoul a normal user know this? I only posted the
plasma-desktop-appletsrc after a long search for the reason of the bug. It was
simply just luck.

I actually just use the kde version shipped with my distro (back then openSUSE
11.4) and never installed any "custom panel plugins" (just widgets), so I (and
I guess everyone else here) wasn't aware of that. As before: If a dev would
have pointed out that this would make a difference, he would have gotten this
information, too.

>reading through the other comments, i'm very, very disappointed in the tone

I guess I'm a bit guilty for this, too (#54). But I've read again all the
comments and the most offensive comment is #68 from an arrogant developer:
>from the "useful things missing from bug reports" and "wondering wtf is wrong
>with people
>while trying to get the useful bits out of a bug report" files ...
Do you know him?

Many people tried to help to solve this bug, but till now (after almost a year)
no developer ever responded. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy you fixed the bug
(in your free time for no payment), but all other users spent their free time,
too - for waiting 11 months to see 4 lines changed? Seriously, if KDE devs
cannot fix their bugs (and this was an easy one) in a reasonable amount of
time, they should stop developing new fancy features and concentrate on bug
fixing. This has nothing to do whether the devs are getting paid or not but is
developing 101. I only can quote #59:

>If KDE wants to
>be taken seriously in the industry, they need to fix critical bugs before they
>have been open for over a year.

And to answers your rhetorical question "useful things missing from bug
reports":
It's developers! Bug reports are missing developers who read and care about
them.
But luckily you seem to be the exception.

Thanks again for fixing this annoying and critical bug.
