I'm also on Gentoo/AMD64, and I still had this problem after upgrading
libtaskmanager (and all its dependencies) to 4.7.3 and restarting
plasma-desktop. However, after also upgrading plasma-workspace to 4.7.3 and
restarting plasma-desktop yet again, the symptoms seem to be gone.
