and what about the usecase, if I only want kalarm to make alarms when I start
it manually ( = while it is running)?

I think my issue is also not invalid, because this option in settings is the
wrong way to achieve what you described. An option in a settings dialog is not
an option, when it is not saved. The solution here would be to ask the user, if
he don't want to restart kalarm on next session when he quits kalarm, and the
answer could be stored only internally. The option in the settings should be
for what I described.
