Hi,
here is the use case :
user use amarok with xine engine + alsa output plugin and has a bluetooth stereo \
headset + a stereo amplifier
to use the stereo bluetooth headset, user got to click settings -> amarok settings -> \
engine , then change value of stereo field from "default" to "a2dpd" to go back to \
stereo amplifier, user got to re-click settings -> amarok settings -> engine , then \
change value of stereo field from "a2dpd" to "default" this is a "usability" problem \
for users performing this switch quite often.
ideally, there could be a better a2dpd integration in amarok/kde, there could also be \
new options allowing the switch from a new "toggle" button in the GUI, but this is a \
huge task that would only benefit to few users.
a first step to ease a2dpd user's life could be to implement a dcop call allowing to \
set the value of the alsa device configuration field.
Thanks.
