Arts is just a piece of crap, which is dropped in KDE 4 (and replaced by Phonon). \
There's almost no chance this issue will be fixed, no one has cared about arts during \
the past couple of years. Sad, but true.

You can circumvent arts though, by using Alsa directly, look for 'dmix' in Google on \
how to proceed.
