I just set up kaddressbook to use gammu to send SMS with my mobile. However \
kaddressbook does not seem to set up the correct locale when invoking the helper \
script, so my non-ASCII chars are lost.

Using the line 
"cat %F | gammu --sendsms TEXT %N"

does not work while 
"export LANG=de_DE euro; cat %F | gammu --sendsms TEXT %N"

does the trick. I verified that by using the command 
"locale > /home/sl/out", 

which showed that the POSIX locale was used instead of de_DE.
