I just set up kaddressbook to use gammu to send SMS with my mobile. However kaddressbook does not seem to set up the correct locale when invoking the helper script, so my non-ASCII chars are lost.

Using the line 
"cat %F | gammu --sendsms TEXT %N"

does not work while 
"export LANG=de_DE euro; cat %F | gammu --sendsms TEXT %N"

does the trick. I verified that by using the command 
"locale > /home/sl/out", 

which showed that the POSIX locale was used instead of de_DE.
