------- I've experienced almost the same problem: I had several duplicate tracks in \
my collection, and used amaroK to delete all but one file for each track. But when I \
had deleted the superfluous files, some of the remaining files vanished from the \
collection. They were still in the playlist, I could play them, but even after \
rescanning the collection, they were not re-inserted into the collection.

I have no idea what might have caused this behavious, except perhaps a compex \
directory tree. My entire collection is on the same local ReiserFS partition.
