He, if I would be familiar with the omnipresent misery named C++ and especially the \
Qt/KDE framework, I probably would dig into the code and try to assemble a patch, \
instead bugging you from a pure user/tester perspective. Maybe it'd be a good idea to \
follow the KDevelop developers and disable on-the-fly mode switching, if there won't \
be any KMDI improvements before KDE 4. I think almost all users won't use the feature \
anyway. There is simply no benefit (after you chose the mode, that fits your need). I \
for one like the idea the IBM/Eclipse guys had, metaphorical named "perspectives". \
Such workflow oriented, user-organized applications would be a killer feature for KDE \
4. :)
