ah, right, thanks, I forgot about those pesky corners... mmh, that's not going to be \
so straight forward... I'll have a look later.

re:OT: yes that's legit, parent has 'auto' width, so it's based on parent available \
width all the way down to the root, which happens to be sized to the viewport width \
by default.
