Summary: When menu applet is added to the kicker, arrow buttons
appear on the sides next to another applet
Product: kicker
Version: 1.1
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: jfirebaugh@kde.org
ReportedBy: d.s.rolls@herts.ac.uk
Version: 1.1 (using KDE 3.1.94 (3.2 Beta 2), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22
How to reproduce:
1. Set screen resolution to 1024x768
2. Add a child panel to the top of the screen by right-clicking on the kicker and \
selecting Add=>Panel=>Child Panel. The new panel can be dragged to the top of the \
screen. 3. Right click on the child panel and add some applets/buttons to it. Add \
enough to fill about a quater of the screen from the right. 4. Now Right click on the \
left side of the child panel and click Add=>Applet=>Menu. 5. Goto Control Center and \
open Desktop=>Behavior. Select "Current Applications Menu bar (MacOS style)". 6. Run \
konqueror.
You should now be able to see a button between the menu and the applets/buttons on \
the child kicker. This button has a right arrow on it. The button is for shifting the \
text over in the menu applet when there is not enough space for the all of the text. \
This is not case however. I can clearly see enough space for another 3 items in the \
menu!
If you cannot see what I see you may need to add/remove buttons/applets until you \
can. I hope I explained this clearly. I have some screenshots that clearly show the \
problem but I don't have anywhere to upload them too.
