Summary: It is not possible to close tabs by keyboard shortcuts
Product: konqueror
Version: unspecified
Platform: unspecified
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
AssignedTo: konq-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: adets@idsk.com
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.2)
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-13.9
I've seen this in the browser tabbed mode - after _some_ _time_ of browsing with konqueror from \
KDE-3.1.2 it is not possible to close a tab with a keybord shortcut (Ctrl-W). It just ignores \
it completely! _Sometimes_ it is possible to close but you'll need to press it a dozen of \
times. Though always works closing of a tab form the tab RMB context menu. Also, if I'll go to \
menu Settings->Configure Shortcuts and in the dialog just press 'Ok" without changing anything \
shortcuts will start work!!! For some time :-(
It never happened before with any other KDE-3.1 versions, including 3.1.1a.
Loaded plugins: kdeaddons.
How to reproduce: just browse a net. I've faced this ugly situation twice in the first day of \
browsing with konqueror from 3.1.2. I'm using non-standard shortcut to open new tabs (Ctrl-T, \
default is unusable for any user that uses Ctrl-Shift to switch keyboard layout) and tabs are \
opened in the background (not activated automatically). Unfortunately I don't know any method \
that will produce this immediately :-(
Expected Behaviour: shortcuts should work as usual.
