Subject: logname does not work in konsole
From: tim@bandelow-net.de

Package: konsole
Version: 1.0.1 (using KDE 2.1.1 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 2.95.2 19991024 (release)
OS: Linux 2.4.0 i686
OS/Compiler notes:

The command "logname" does not work in a console window. In an xterm, it alway \
returns the name of the user whose xsession is currently running. E.g. I if su to \
root, logname still returns the user who logged in via kdm. I use this feature \
frequently to automatically change window colors for different users. However in \
konsole, this command always returns an error message "logname: No loginname"
