Description:
There has been interest in the user and dev lists to have a version of XMLBeans V1 \
that will run on JDK 1.3.x. Matt Bishop has done some great work to make this \
happen. This issue is to track that progress of incorporating those fixes such that \
a JDK 1.3.x compatible build (and distribution) can be made available.
I believe this should be done as a branch since it is difficult to know if the \
changes might cause subtle regressions in the current xbeans v1 bits that support JDK \
1.4.x.
It this is the way we do this then ideally the person that addresses this bug will \
create some specific instructions on how to build the JDK 1.3.x build and also will \
work with Cliff (et al) on making sure that the upcoming distribution (v1.0.1) has a \
distribution for JDK 1.3.x. rem
