Hi,
Does anyone know of any in-production multimedia formats that use
sign/magnitude audio coding? A quick Google search reveals that there is
hardware available to decode such audio natively.

The reason I ask is because I just found an old media format that
uses sign/magnitude coding for audio. IOW, for each 8 bit value, the top
bit indicates sign and the lower 7 bits are the value. So 0x81 is -1, as
opposed to 0xFF in two's complement coding.

	Thanks...
