Subject:    No plugin+perl+python compiled

I downloaded the latest Xchat version and compiled it with

./configure --prefix=/usr/local --enable--perl --enable-plugin
--enable-python
make
make install

and no error reported.

./configure said:

-*- X-Chat 1.4.2 -*-

Building GTK FrontEnd ........... : yes (1.2.3)
Building Text FrontEnd .......... : yes
Building with Gnome ............. : no
Building with Gnome Panel Support : no
Building with ImLib ............. : yes (1.9.4)
Building with Glib replacement .. : no
Building with Perl .............. : yes
Building with Python ............ : yes (1.5)
Building with Plugin Support .... : yes
Building with SOCKS5 ............ : no
Building with Language Support .. : yes
Build System .................... : Linux
Install Prefix .................. : /usr/local

the problem is in the executable ALL entries in the "Script and Plugin"
menu are disabled, so
no plugin support.... no python or perl scripts support...... :-((

My system is Debian 2.1 GNU/Linux kernel 2.2.12

Can somebody help me......... what could i do ?
