HP-UX is mentioned separately in the faq at
http://www.wu-ftpd.org/faq.html. From http://www.wu-ftpd.org/ there are
also other resources available.

In general: wu-ftpd is *NOT* more secure when it comes to dealing with
plaintext passwords 'over the cable'. Those still happen. Wu-ftpd is
better in securing your server and network resources are not overused.
