Subject:    [vtcl-user] Launching background processes

I know how to launch an external application from within Tcl
 
    exec "xyz p1 p2" &
 
but I want to know if there is a way to launch a procedure within TCL and have run as \
an independent application. This may be obvious, but I was having problems getting it \
to work correctly.
