True. They think they made it right and don't want to change it. Just like
Bram for vim. So we are stuck!

KDevelop is getting quite popular and it has its own editor. And having a
vim component is cool but a minority interest for them indeed. None of the
KDevelop developers is using vim.

Then vim is not embedded, and it doesn't make sense to have a component. You
do not need components to have a vim editor running separately from
KDEvelop.

Having an external vim window is not a goal shift, this is a goal failure.
The goal is to have a vim editor integrated into KDE. Maybe you are not
familiar with the meaning of 'integrated' when it comes to gui but separate
window is not that.
