Hi - The cmdlinespeakfile binary (comes with
the Linux ViaVoiceTTS distribution) takes a file
as input and produces sound via the audio card.
The output is noise-free.
However, when I produced a soundfile via xeloq (11k Hz, 16 bit, .au)
the result is noisy. In addition, if I want to produce a second
soundfile, I have to re-start xeloq (minor problem but annoying).
The main question - how can I create a high-quality Outloud
soundfile? Is there a downloadable program that will do
a better job than xeloq? and/or a program that will clean
up noisy soundfiles?
Thanks.
Janet
