I went through the very same thing. I opened up a ticket with Veritas, 
and our solution was to install it manually.

BTW, SUN produces a patch cluster for NBU 45_3. It's # 112407-03 and 
available on sunsolve.

Last I checked, they hadn't built a 45_4 cluster, yet.
