Hello List,

Apologies if this topic has been covered earlier, but I can't find answer in the
FAQ or the user manual on sourceforge so I'm hoping someone here might be able
to help.

Soon I will install a cgi on our companies public website so payment details are
gpg encrypted before being mailed to the billing department. The billing
department has their own account and corresponding /home/billing/.gnupg
directory with their keys and keyring. There is only 1 key in the keyring, which
is there's. Our ops dept already had sylpheed installed, and I configured the
mail client for them so they could read the encrypted email sent to them and
clearsign replies to these emails. I know gpg/mime is working for our version of
sylpheed as mails can be signed and encrypted, no problem.

The question :

I'm guessing that Sylpheed should decrypt encrypted mail automatically as there
is no 'decrypt' button on the toolbar. They use the default key in the keyring,
and all the options in the privacy menu are enabled except for 'Encrypt message
by default'. The problem is Sylpheed won't decrypt encrypted mails by default,
and the only way I have found to do this is to save the file and decrypt it
manually at the command line. So then, how can I get sylpheed to decrypt mail
automatically?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

Andy
