You need to either use GNU tail (which can be set to follow a filename
instead of a file descriptor) or you need to restart swatch when the
syslog gets rotated out.  Personally, I find it easier to just get rid
of that newsyslog monstrosity and do my own rotates.  If you do it that
way, you just put your swatch restart in your rotate script and forget
about GNU tail.  Either way should work just fine, though.
