Yes... that is what I found when using any of the IBM presets. when I
changed to the generic 1400X1050 under -->LCD then the test showed the
correct resolution.

I do not know this part, but I do know that the new resolution will
not go into effect until you log back in which in essence starts a new
X seesion with the new settings.
