Nothing interesting this time.

This was the trick! Thank You! I'm just sure I had just one basic local 
maildir resource in the previous installation, so that I wonder why it didn't 
work here...

Yes, I can confirm it. I was wondering what is creating that file: directory.

There is the correct path, so this should be fine.
