Got you !

The crashing /opt/lotus/bin/http httpsetup problem is induced by the LANG
variable which defaults to

"de_DE@euro" in SuSE 7.2 ( Sche.... EURO :-) )

su to root and change this in /etc/rc.config to "de_DE" and call
SuSEconfig. It works!
