hi,

machine: ultra2
os: solaris 2.5.1
network: fibre channel adapters to sparc storage array

1st problem: internal boot drive broke.

repair: replaced drive, installed os, installed backup tool (lone-tar), ran
full restore.

2nd problem: restore completes, when i boot the machine, i get this in an
infinite loop:

soc0: port0: fibre channel ONLINE
soc0: port0: fibre channel OFFLINE
soc0: port0: fibre channel ONLINE
soc0: port0: fibre channel OFFLINE
soc0: port0: fibre channel ONLINE
soc0: port0: fibre channel OFFLINE
soc0: port0: fibre channel ONLINE
soc0: port0: fibre channel OFFLINE
soc0: port0: fibre channel ONLINE
soc0: port0: fibre channel OFFLINE

if i stop+a, i hang, so i have to power off/on and get to repeat this.

3rd problem: this happens EVEN if i 'boot cdrom -s'

i've never had this happen, any ideas?

thanks.
