+ Still unable to reproduce, even using as close as we can get
+ to exactly the same circumstances as were causing it two
+ days ago.  Greg can't think of *any* circumstance under which
+ the checkout process would re-HEAD the session, and from
+ inspecting the code path we can't see any either.  And can't
