sqspell_functions.php has two calls to squirrelspell_version(). I got
an error that the function was not defined, in the popup window.

Hm, authoritative place for a plugin version is usually in setup.php's
_info() / version() functions, right?

I think the proper solution is to build the _info() function with
versioning information and get the version from a Squirrelmail
plugin information API.
