Hello,

first thing: Smarty is great!
You are doing a good job.

When using the date_format modifier I found a small bug (or problem).
The default value of the output format is "%b %e, %Y" which lead to a output like \
"Feb , 2004".

I develop on a windows system (Win2K) with PHP 4.3.3 on Apache 1.3.28.

According to the documentation of strftime in the php manual (note below the \
specifiers) the specifier %e is not supported on Windows and some other systems: \
"[...] e.g. %e, %T, %R and %D (there might be more) and dates prior to Jan 1, 1970 \
will not work on Windows, some Linux distributions, and a few other operating \
systems"

Thats why I thing it would be better to exchange the %e with %d to make it compatible \
with more operating systems.

Best regards
Dirk Oschlies
