Yes, serveral months back we asked our sales person in the St. Louis area to start some legwork on such a users group for exactly what you stated. She seems very interested in helping to form one.

Is there any interest in forming a Sidewinder User's group out there? I
am thinking that it could be useful in advocating for product
changes/enhancements and possibly providing a better knowledgebase than
Secure seems to have for troubleshooting issues. Maybe a repository to
share useful stuff like scripts, config file changes etc. Also maybe
have an annual conference? I suggest some easy to access location like
Charlotte Amalie in the Virgin Islands, or with IT budgets the way they
are today, Death Valley in July.
I am not particularly web enabled but I would be willing to do some
legwork if there is interest.

I have seen some quid questions go by recently, and now I have one. How
do you get around Squid and HTTPS/SSL headaches? Mike in support found
that apparently Squid sends some extra stuff in its request to connect
that trips up HTTPS connections on a lot of sites. I checked with google
on this and found it is a fairly common issue with Squid, but did not
find a fix.
Any ideas on this? Barring a Squid fix anyone know how I can use the
HTTPS proxy for this while still using Squid for everything else?
Thanks

One possibility assuming you are using MS AD on your LAN is to push a
group policy that locks the IE settings, in that policy exclude the
secure ip address under IE -> tools -> internet options -> LAN settings
-> Proxy Server -> Advanced.
Another possibility is to email your users and help desk and have them
set this themselves with a bitmap how to guide.
Make sure that you enable the https proxy and create a rule, place that
rule above any squid rules.

Ah, so that's why! When we hit an access issue to a private HTTPS site ran
by one of our customers, I figured SSC would never be able to reproduce the
issue and so I never bothered to call them about it.

I setup an ipfilter rule permitting 443/tcp to the host in question, hence
bypassing squid for only that (somewhat trusted) site.
