JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:       Security Engineer
Location:       Network Security Engineer (NAC), California, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

Closing Date:   2008-05-25

Location:  Torrance, CA
(3) Openings (2 mid level and 1 sr.)

The Network Security Engineers duties will include, but not limited to: Provide \
support of technical analysis, modification, testing,& servicing for network systems, \
Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Cisco NAC/MARS, IronPort, routers & switches; Responsible for \
conducting analysis & prepare reports & will assist in the recommendation for \
improvements & the development of technical standards associated w/the customers \
systems; Act as the subject matter expert on network & security related systems; \
Assist Sr. Network Security Engineer w/configuration & maintenance tasks; Monitor, \
maintain, & troubleshoot security systems; Provide Tier 2 security & incident support \
to the service desk; Perform root cause analysis; Assist the California Prison \
Systems in maintaining their Host Security Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Strategy \
for Non-Responsive Hosts, Backup Strategy, Remediation Strategies, & Logging.  

 




JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Requirements

Associate's Degree in related field; Computer Science, Information Systems, Business; \
Minimum of 3 years general experience as in information security specialist \
(consultant, technician, engineer); Experience w/deploying Cisco security \
technologies; CISSP certification; Cisco associate-level network certifications: CCNA \
or CCDA. Bachelor's Degree in a related field; Computer Science, Information Systems, \
Business; 2+ years of security consulting experience; Cisco professional-level \
network, or security  certifications; CCNP or CCDP, CCSP; Experience with Cisco \
security and identity management tools: NAC, MARS, CSA
