Location:       New York, New York, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

Systems integration company focused on Cisco solutions needs a systems engineer to \
help service clients and design/plan/architect enterprise solutions.

 

Job Purpose:

Senior Engineer needed for an organization  that is  a leading provider of Security \
and advanced network LAN/WAN solutions . A Senior System Engineer will be responsible \
for planning designing, implementing sound Security practices as well as network \
routing/switching, remote access and VPN solutions. IPT knowledge a plus.  

Job Responsibilities:

Be a subject matter expert on extensive consulting engagements that establish company \
as a leading provider of network security solutions.  Planning and assessing \
enterprise technology strategy and architecture.  Program/project managing client \
engagements from presales to delivery  Create detailed SOW documents and Visio \
designs for customer acceptance.  Work with project manager to draft project \
completion documentation including configuration and design.  Assess, Design, and \
Implement enterprise wide security solutions for diverse customer base.  Attend pre \
sales engagements with sales for discovery sessions.  Stay current with emerging \
technologies as they mature.   

Job Knowledge/Skills:

 

Cohesive experience in the strategy, process and methodology for business enablement \
and transformation through technology.  Extensive knowledge of the following Cisco \
Security offerings: Firewall, IPS, IDS, CSA, CS-MARS,  CCA and virus mitigation  A \
wealth of expertise on standards, architectures, technology frameworks, solutions and \
best practices for multi tiered enterprise security solutions including network, \
internet, and Wireless technologies.  Seasoned in strategy and architecture steering, \
review, enforcement and documentation.   Proven collaboration and consensus-driving \
with technology teams, business groups and senior executives.  "Technology + business \
+ management = know-how and can-do."  Have solid hands-on and inside out knowledge of \
Cisco IOS with Security bundles.  




JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Education and Experience:

Current Cisco Certified CCIE in Security 
5+ years of experience including hands on configuration of Cisco suite of Security \
offerings and network LAN/Wan infrastructure projects.  Proven deployed security \
audit and implementation projects
