Subject:    Samba high CPU usage

We currently have a system where the client PC's are mapping a drive to an
AIX RS6000 server.  4 Client PC's seem to always have a high CPU usage when
you view them using :-

ps -ef | grep smbd

The version of Samba we are using is 2.0.7 with AIX 4.2.1

Our next step in our investigation is to increase the log level - currently
set at 1 upto 3 to try and ascertain what the problem is.

Have you seen this probel before and if so can you give us any advice on
how to remedy the situation.
